“I make no apologies for being an old romantic fool.” — Charles Wiggins

We’ve been together for fifty Valentine’s Days as of today.  Check out the picture at the right and see how she still looks at me—so I wrote her a Valentine’s Day poem.

To Karen on Valentine’s Day

The two of us for fifty Valentine’s Days together
Life ain’t sent nothin’ we couldn’t weather
Been ups, been downs, been smiles, been tears
Forgave each other often through all the years
Still together, two souls that love like hearts
Joined and welded tho missing some parts
Older now than we ever thought we’d be
And who knew grandchildren numbered three
Loving others while we loved each other
Please be my Valentine—never been another

God bless my only and truest love,

Charles
