Quote of the Day: “The ornament of a house is the friends who frequent it.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson
It's all hands on deck today as we get the house ready, especially the guest room, for my son and his wife who are arriving on Friday. They were so very lucky to land in Dar Es Salaam at the same time as Air Force One bringing President Obama and his wife (they will not be coming to visit us). In addition, former President Bush and his wife, Laura, are already here. My son has aleeady had to be moved from the hotel where he had reservations. I guess timing is everything. At least they will be going to Zanzibar for a few days before flying to Mwanza (another stop that's not on the President's itinerary). Chris and Brenda will arrive in Mwanza on Friday barring any Presidential problems and we can't wait to see them. It's also a good excuse to get the house clean. We have already found many things we thought were lost forever--so that's good. At the moment, Chris and Brenda are in Amsterdam where they are hearing a lot of Swahili at the gate which is getting them more excited. This will be their third trip and we are really looking forward to seeing them. They love to walk around Bunda and interact with the locals. May God give them a safe journey.
