“Life is made of ever so many partings welded together.” ― Charles Dickens
While it is true that no storm lasts forever, the same is true of earthly paradise. Chris and Brenda left this morning to fly back to New York City where they will go back to work. They loved their time here and they love Tanzania. We had an absolutely wonderful time with them. There was a minor problem when the Mennonite pastors showed up a day early and had to be turned away, but they returned today and are very happy to be here. Miscommunication causes many problems and solves very few, but it all worked out in the end. We have two mama dogs who each have one surviving puppy, one male and one female. Later, we will get all the female dogs spayed as we aren't cut out to be in the puppy business. Right now, we have six dogs which is two too many, so we will give away the two newest puppies. Karen woke up with her foot in great pain this morning and from what I read on the internet, it sounds like gout. She went with Chris and Brenda to Mwanza so she can see a doctor while the kids take off for Dar Es Salaam. It's not very noisy here today, even with fifteen Mennonite pastors on the grounds because they are spending the day in fasting and prayer. I may rest a little if no other emergencies rear their ugly heads.
