Quote of the Day:   “Quiet days allow for real thinking.” ― Samuel Bishop

The mission is always so quiet on Saturdays because there are no children here for school in the morning or the afternoon.  I miss their laughter and shouting and running.  They are usually here an hour early every morning because they love school so much.  What a joy they are!  So today is just a quiet day with the power going off and on and the wind picking up as the rainy season winds slowly down.  We are entering what I guess you would call our "winter" although we still rarely get temperatures below 68 F, still that is pretty cold for us.  As soon as the sun comes out, though, the temps climb right up to 80 to 85 and stay there until sundown.  Except for the malaria, poverty, disease, and lack of adequate medical facilities--it's a paradise or that's how we see it anyway.  Another day which is another gift from a gracious and loving God.  Not bad at all.
