Quote of the Day: “If you don't know where you are going, you'll end up someplace else.” ― Yogi Berra
Bishop Monto came by for a meeting yesterday afternoon, so we could plan the next training session for the evangelists and the ordination of a new pastor. We will have twenty pastors and evangelists here this weekend for training with eight of them staying in our guest cottages. We will feed and house them and provide them with Bibles for their churches while they are here. The main training session will be on Saturday and then on Sunday, Bishop Monto and I will ordain the new pastor with the appropriate name of Godson to be in charge of the churches west of Kibara about 60 kilometers from here. Rev. Godson will be in a collection of fishing villages right on the shores of Lake Victoria where superstition has played a major role up till now. He has been making many converts and has finished his academic training, so he well deserves his ordination as pastor. We will do all of this here in the Bunda Methodist Church just outside our mission. In the afternoon, I will try to travel to Lamadi for a celebration with the albino students we have been protecting. Bishop Monto will be back on Wednesday for more planning about curriculum and meals. We will be doing all we can to get the guest cottages ready for this weekend because we have a wiring problem in one and bees in the other. Both should be ready.
