Quote of the Day: “I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.” ― "The Road Not Taken", Robert Frost
No one ever said that what we would do here would be easy, or comfortable, or always fun. But as a famous theologian (Dr. Robert Neville) once said, it is always important. We have very few ways of discerning how successful we are here, but the few ways we have all tell us the same thing--it is good that we came, it is good that we stayed, and it is good that we continue. The new churches, the new Christians, the lives saved with mosquito nets and water filters, the children getting educations, the students becoming teachers, and the individuals that have received help from us for a myriad reasons all tell us that we are doing what God has called us to do. It is not what God calls everyone to do, but it is what God called us to do--and we have done it and are doing it. There is a lot of satisfaction in knowing that we are answering the call. Happiness is doing what you like and success is liking what you do, so we are happy and successful as missionaries. That is not to say it has been without pain, sacrifice, or suffering, but those pale in significance to being available and obedient to God. May we always remain so.
