Quote of the Day: “The sun will come out tomorrow.” ― Little Orphan Annie
I just wrote yesterday about the fragility of many of the houses here and then we had a torrential rain last night. Thirty-two homes collapsed during the rain and now 32 families are homeless. Thank God there were no deaths but there were some injuries. The sun is shining now, but so many are sad, having lost everything. I wish we could help them all, but we can help Amos, and so we have. We are having a training seminar here for two days beginning tomorrow to help the new evangelists in four of our new churches. Karen is in town right now searching for material for the new uniforms for Santa Caryn Pierce Academy and for St. Penny's Academy in Karikakari. The students who had the uniforms were supposed to hand them in, so we could use them with the new students, but they kept them--as I guess we should have known they would. We need more money to help buy more uniforms so if you have one or two hundred dollars laying around, please send it to One Book Foundation, 1910 Old Wire Road, Fayetteville, AR 72703 and say that the money is for uniforms. We, and the students will be forever grateful. God bless you and you and you and you.
