Quote of the Day:  “No storm lasts forever.” ― my grandmother

We are working with one of our security guards to get him into a new house.  His old one had a wall collapse last year during the rainy season killing his three year old daughter.  He has been back in his village getting family support and we are helping with the first three months rent.  As the rainy season begins, it brings back many sad memories, so we are happy to help him.  Many of the houses here are made of mud bricks with no concrete and on no foundations (as was his last one) and so are very vulnerable to weather problems.  We can't help everyone, but we can help him--so we do.  So much of life is like that--unable to help everyone, many just throw up their hands and help no one.  We will help whoever we can whenever we can for as long as we can.  We may not help many, but we will help those we can.  I think that's what Christ calls us to do.  Don't you?
