Quote of the Day: "A stranger is just a friend you haven't met yet." -- Will Rogers
Yesterday, we were delighted to meet Sam and his son, Zachary, who are new missionaries to our area. They live about 30 kilometers (18 miles) from us on the way to Karikakari. Sam and his wife Sarah moved here from Canada. He ran into John at the Post Office and asked if he was John Wiggins. John was surprised but acknowledged his name and was told by Sam that he knew John's father. I had actually never met him, but when he was in Canada, he followed us on our blog. John invited him out and we had a good visit. Like us, Sam and Sarah sold all they had and moved to Tanzania to serve God and His people. We invited them to go with us to the Missionary Fellowship this Saturday near Musoma so they can meet the other missionaries in the area. It will be very nice to have fellow North Americans in our little area here. Now, we can celebrate Thanksgiving in October (Canadian) and November (American). We have yet to meet Sarah, but Sam and Zachary are very nice folks. Kind of what you would expect from Canadians, eh?
