Quote of the Day: “Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart” ― Eleanor Roosevelt
Our new Canadian missionary friends came by today for a visit and to purchase a biosand water filter for their mission. Later, they will need another one, but one will do just fine right now. Sam and Sarah are such wonderful people and did the same thing we did. They sold or gave away all that they had and came here to serve for the rest of their lives. Like us, they were invited by a local pastor to come and serve. They have three sons, 12, 17, and 19. The youngest and the oldest will stay here with them, but the middle son will move back to Canada next June to begin his life there. They are so glad that we are here to help them and to keep them from repeating many of our mistakes. Like us, they have no denomination or groups of large churches supporting them. They depend on the generosity of several small churches to keep their mission funded. Sam and Sarah are obviously deeply devout and among those truly called to mission. We are glad to be their friends and happy that we have people with whom we can speak English and who understand about America. It doesn't hurt that Sam is also a fan of Formula One racing as am I. Sarah and Karen are going to get along famously as Sarah wants Karen to teach art. Thank you, Lord, for sending more servants as the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.
John bought the outside staff overalls so they don't have to get their own clothes dirty. They are just beside themselves, they love them so much. Picture is at the right.
