Quote of the Day: "Small events and choices determine the direction of our lives just as small helms determine the directions of great ships."-- M. Russell Ballard
If you've been reading the blog lately, then you know that we are involved with a new project to provide special tutoring and counseling for the persecuted (and sometimes hunted) albino children in our area. We have seventeen that we take care of every Saturday and Sunday all day and then work with every afternoon after school. I was taking to them yesterday and asking what they needed most. Their answer was simple but I don't know how to arrange it. They need sunglasses. Not prescription, just plain sunglasses because an albino has very sensitive eyes and many go blind. This can be avoided with just plain sunglasses. If you can figure out how to get them to us, we need about 20 to 30 pair of sunglasses for our albino children. The other main need is sun block. The cream or lotion with an SPF of 30 or higher. We need as much of this as we can get because the sun here is particularly fierce and burns their skin and gives them cancer. Please think about these things and how you might be able to help us. I know this is hardly the time of year for sunglasses and sunblock, but please be on the lookout for them and consider how you might get them to us. You can ship things directly to us at P.O. Box 21, Bunda, Tanzania. It usually takes from three weeks to three months to get things here, but the need is not going away, so any help will be a Godsend. Thank you for helping us with this increasingly difficult problem here in Tanzania. God bless you.
