Quote of the Day: You can be committed to Church but not committed to Christ, but you cannot be committed to Christ and not committed to church. -- Joel Osteen
I attended the minister's meeting today and it was very good. The pastors are very excited about the two weeks of training next year and the beginning of placing pre-schools in every church. So far, we have five with two more in the planning stages. They were also excited about my trip to the U.S. next April and the possibility of five students from Boston University coming for two months next year to visit all the churches. We also discussed a new evangelical tool that will cost around $2,000 to implement but would have a profound effect on evangelism here in all areas. We will work toward raising that money next year. Karen is working with Pastor Festo to design uniforms for the St. Penny preschool in his church. These will also be with traditional Tanzanian culture as a basis for the uniforms. He and Karen are excited about these. We got much done. In an oral culture where everyone likes to talk, having a meeting with preachers means for lots and lots of talk, but Bishop Monto kept them on course. We are excited about ordaining Rev. Magero tomorrow. We paid for his and his wife's seminary education here for several years before he graduated and then served as a probationary member. He will be a good addition to the church family. A lot has happened with this church over the last eight years, but almost all of it has been good, and the church is stronger than ever and looking forward. It's a good thing. It's a God thing.
