Quote of the Day: “You have to run as fast as you can to stay in the same place.” ― Alice in Wonderland
First a big thank you to Terry Reed and the ladies at Winslow United Methodist Church in Arkansas. Thank you for the package of crayons and supplies for the Santa Caryn Academy orphans. Pictures in a couple of days. Today was a busy day. Shaban and I took Karen to the Coptic Hospital in Musoma to deal with an ear infection, and we did. She's got five days of medications to take and should be peachy soon. After that, we went over to the bank to fill out several pages of forms, give thumbprints, and sign our names several times over. Our bank got purchased by Barclay's Bank, and we had to redo all our account information for the new owners. After all that work--things are just the same as they were before we started. Lot of that going around, I hear. Then to the new food store that opened just for the non-African market in Musoma. Lots of goodies that we normally can't get with prices non-Africans can't pay--and us just barely. Still, we got loaded up for our little America in Africa Thanksgiving tomorrow. Then, just a two-hour drive over bad and bumpy roads and we were back just in time to shower and nap. Quite a day for us, but worth it (well, all but that paperwork stuff). Life is never boring here.
