Quote of the Day: “Suffer the little children to come unto me and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of God” ― Mark 10: 14
Went out to the Santa Caryn Pierce Academy (pre-school) this morning with Karen. This school of 30 orphans and very poor meets in our classroom building in the mornings. In the afternoons, Karen's English school meets with 15 much older students, but for pure joy of learning--you just can't beat the pre-schoolers. They shout "Good Morning, Sir" as I enter the room and the level of excitement never decreases. They are so proud in their Tanzanian styled uniforms as well as being proud that they get to go to school--something usually denied all orphans and very poor. They touch our hearts in ways they will never know. We went out this morning to share with them some wonderful crayons and other supplies that the ladies of Winslow Methodist Church sent to us. They were very excited. As Karen and I walked back to the house with their singing echoing through the air as we walked, we didn't say a thing. We just smiled.
