Quote of the Day: "It's always something." Gilda Radner
Our car, a 1993 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, has been sick lately and went to the car hospital for three days. She had work done on her shocks, tie rods, bushings, got a new clutch plate, and a few other little bits that only cost $1,000. I have no idea what it would have cost in the States, but I am pretty sure it would have been much more. In the meantime, our only source of transportation is running smoothly again. The roads here take their toll on suspensions and thus need constant repair and upgrade. The kitchen is also almost finished needing just the wiring, tiling, and painting. Today, we put glass in the two main windows so there can be light even when it is raining. Our internet is still suffering, and we are putting up a new antenna on Monday, so we will have been without internet for about a week--if that fixes things. We can use our phones, but they are slow and expensive, so we use them sparingly. When our internet is working again, I will post pictures of the kitchen and some other neat stuff.
