Quote of the Day:  “Prayer is not asking. Prayer is putting oneself in the hands of God, at His disposition, and listening to His voice in the depth of our hearts.” ― Mother Teresa

Our houseworker of seven years, Lusi, is in the last few days of her pregnancy.  Unfortunately, the baby is presenting feet first, what I knew as the "breech" position.  Childbirth here is a chancy thing with one out of every seven mothers dying in childbirth, so anything that makes it more dangerous is a real threat.  On Tuesday, the doctor is going to try to turn the baby around.  In the U.S., she would just have a c-section and it would all be over, but here, most women die during c-sections, so it is a last resort.  It is very possible that we could lose both Lusi and her baby.  She has three sons and a husband who depends on her to bring home a paycheck, so without her, he would probably take off and leave the three boys orphans.  We need your prayers, especially on Tuesday.  We need you to pray for Lusi, her baby, and the doctor.  We are praying here every day, but we really need you to join us in our prayers for Lusi.  She is just in her late twenties, and we love her very much.  She is a devoted Christian who is not afraid of death, as most here are not, but we want her to live for many years to come.  Please help us by sending prayers to God to let Him know that she is a wonderful servant of His.  Thank you.
