Quote of the Day: “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.” ― Benjamin Franklin
Lusi came back today looking like she was about to pop. That baby must be coming soon. We had to call her to remind her that she got paid during her time off. She was delighted to learn that she was still getting paid, as you might expect. Pastor Nyansa also came by today to get his next two months rent paid. We are happy to do it, and it is only about $30 a month for a whole house. In addition, all ten of our scholarship students (Bunda Teachers College) came by to get photographed and to get their first semester's fees paid. They were very grateful as none of them could afford to go on their own. They will make wonderful Christian teachers, and those in Arkansas who paid for their school fees will find their gifts continuing to give for years to come. Karen has worked out a very good system of photo identification for the students, so none will be denied their tuition. This afternoon another prospective teacher for Karen's school will come by for an interview. There were five applicants for one position and all the notification was by word of mouth. People know what a gift it is to teach at Karen's school for one or two years before going on, as all three of her former teachers have gone on to higher education or better teaching posts.
