Quote of the Day: Given the choice between the experience of pain and nothing, I would choose pain. - William Faulkner
Well, things were semi-back-to-normal today. Juliana was out all day because of the death of a neighbor. Pastor Festo came to get the $50 that would pay his son's tuition for government high school. I've been paying the school fees for this boy for six years now, and he has been doing very well indeed. Neighbors have dug up the soccer field to get good mud to make bricks and this will have to be settled by the local ward boss and the pastor. John will be going out to Murando to look for a well site at this church which is one of five that Pastor Festo has started in the last five years. The doctor will be coming by tonight to bring me antibiotics for the infection that having the wrong sized catheter caused and medication to start shrinking the prostate to maybe avoid surgery (I'm in favor of that). The battery in Karen's laptop exploded (a loud pop was all) but happily, we got a new one in the last package from New York. Karen's hip hurts, I'm in pain, and John is limping because of his ankle but see quote above.
