Quote of the Day:  "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." ~ Helen Keller

Today, we got the potatoes harvested, the field leveled, and the first of two child-sized goals installed (see the picture at the right.  Click on the photo to see four more).  John cut down some trees, the kids and their parents leveled the field and pulled the potatoes out, and Shaban and a fundi (craftsman) put in the goal.  The pastor was so impressed with what John had accomplished in such a short time (for here) that he came up with a list of twelve bicycles and a pikipiki (motorbike) that the pastors and evangelists need.  This would cost about $2,000 versus the $200 and some sweat for the soccer field.  Not quite the same thing, but the folks here are like that.  If you can turn a potato field into a soccer field with permanent goals that the pastor can use for evangelism, well, you should be able to do anything.  We can do some or all of the bicycles but only one at a time over a period of about a year and no pikipiki.  Still, it is nice to be able to work together on projects that benefit everyone.  As John said, "It's a good tired."
