Quote of the Day:   Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds you plant - Robert Louis Stevenson.

Feeling much better today, boy it's strange how a fever can lay you low and then just go away.  John and Shaban went to Mwanza today to get Karen's birthday present (June 2nd) and to see about buying some replacement items for the computer gear wiped out by the lightning strike.   Things are more normal here--Neema came in crying because her mother is dying of malaria, so we cancelled school for the day.  Then things got really out of hand.  When Juliana left to go get Charlini, a stray dog ran into the compound.  Now our dogs are inside a fence around the house and couldn't get at that dog and that dog wanted out but couldn't find a way out.  To add to the excitement, Amos, Lusi, and Juliana were chasing the dog and waving kangas at it.  Children came from all around to see what all the barking, screaming, and laughing was all about.  The dog is gone and all the dogs are happy about it.  Karen and I almost cried from laughing as Lusi reenacted how she and Juliana were chasing the dog.  Life can be harsh here and funny, but it is never boring or dull.
