Shaban is training Edina's helper, Andrew George, to make biosand filters. He seems to get the hang of it quickly. If sales keep on like they've been going, we are definitely going to need someone besides Shaban to make filters. One of the new SIL (Bible translators) has asked for one next week and another one has asked for five. We've sold many to SIL workers. At first they would buy them for Tanzanians, but lately they've been buying them for themselves. We see that as a very good sign. We are still using the filter that Jerry built for us six years ago, and it's still working well--as advertised. John has students coming tomorrow, so he will be preparing tonight. I am looking forward to another day with no sugar, no soda, no cookies, no ice cream, and taking medicine that makes me sick. However, it turns out you can live without all that stuff and I don't stay sick all day, so I guess it all works out. I am healthier and am slowly losing weight which are good things. It has been very hot here which usually means the long rains are just around the corner. I will be wishing for this dry heat in a week or so. You saw it here first.
