Got the sad news that our German missionary friends will not be returning to Tanzania which is sad for everyone.  They did such a good job and were good friends as well.  Seems church politics and other things beyond their control prevented their return for they loved it here.  They will be missed.  Got to watch the Oscars live--just had to get up at five am, but it was fun.  Some of my favorites won and some didn't, but it happens like that every year.  There are no awards for those of you who serve and help others, at least not here, but it will come.  Living a good life of service to others has its own reward as you know if you live a life like that.  Wouldn't know what to do with an award if we got one.  I have diplomas and plaques, but none of that matters now.  The Apostle Paul said that all he had valued before was truly rubbish.  He was right.  We so often make things much more important than they are.  What did Micah say, to do justice, to love mercy, and walk humbly with God.  No gold statues for doing that, but treasure in heaven.  I think that's enough, don't you?
