We were told today not to get a breeding pair of goats but just two females.   Seems there are a lot of male goats out there (me for one) and having two females means double the breeding.  Lots of goats here have twins--our Australian missionary friends goat had twins just last night--so in four months there could be six goats instead of two.  Since I am goat knowledge challenged, I'm going with what the people who raise them tell us.  Still raining here.  We bought three chickens for our Thanksgiving tomorrow, just hope the dogs leave all three alive till the morning--we do have them in the pikipiki shed-- (everything is free range here), and we never have to worry about how long to defrost.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you.  May your day be filled with family, food, thankfulness, and fun.  And on Friday--Go Hogs!
