The bees seem to love our place. Shaban and Amos got rid of thousands of them who had taken up residence in one of the guest cottages. A cottage that will be housing some German missionaries next Saturday, so we had to kill them. If we knew how, we would get some hives and harvest the honey since we have so many flowers around here. Karen has found a very cheap way to get light into dark homes and choos (bathrooms) during the day. It's a way to funnel sunlight through a tiny hole into a bottle of water that generates about 50 watts of light. Doesn't work at night, of course, but it would be a God send to so many who live in very dark houses that stay dark no matter how sunny it is outside. Shaban has also found a young man who wants to learn the filter business, so that will be starting soon as well. I am going with John to Musoma tomorrow so I can get my dressing changed at the Coptic Hospital. We won't be going back to Mwanza until next week cause we just don't have the money right now. I hear there's a lot of that going around in the U.S. as well. Ah well, it's what we do with what little we get that defines us.
