Well, today we see what rain on and off all day does to our solar lighting system. Battery well charged should still supply solid light all night. John is going to stay up and monitor (while playing computer games). Charlini hurt her finger so I kissed it to make it well and she immediately went to John because he is apparently the better doctor for finger kissing. Bruised my pride a bit. Start the second phase of security lighting next Tuesday, so by Friday night we should be lighting up the place with solar power. I have always felt we should model good ecological behavior, so I sure hope this works well. Several missionaries in posts much farther out have been fully solar for years. You can do about everything except refrigerators and freezers because they need to be propane in order for the solar to do its work, but we will see how things go. The plan is to have everything solar in five years (God willin' and the creek don't rise).
