A four-year-old neighbor of Juliana's died yesterday of malaria, so she was out today. Paul went to the hospital yesterday and is still out sick. A neighbor of Francis's (about nineteen) died of AIDS yesterday. I guess we do live in a developing country, but I will never get used to the death and sickness that surrounds us. Do keep us and our community in your prayers. Jesus brings hope to these suffering people and it is a substantial gift. Charlini learned a new phrase in English at her school today. She came in, walked up to me, and very proudly announced, "Thank you, Lord!" We should all say that more often.
