Met with the Regional Director of Immigration today and almost have the church politics thing solved. I deliver some papers to him on Friday, and that should take care of it. John taught his six college students in Musoma while I fussed at the bank over money that was wired last week and still isn't here. Looks like I will be changing banks. There is now a Barclays Bank in Musoma and they promise 24 hour turnaround on wire transfers. This is an international banking company that Pete uses in Arusha. Hopefully, Friday morning, before the group gets here that afternoon, I can get to Musoma, get the money that is needed, open a new account at Barclays, and get the papers to the Immigration officer. We had lunch with two Swiss missionaries we have become friends with over the last four years. They leave for good at the end of the year. We are also working with Robi and the government at setting up an NGO (non-governmental organization) to cover all the work that John will be doing for Tanzania. The second day of school went well with Bwana Masele filling in for Karen while she was in Musoma. Still looks good for the library, but we will know more in a couple of days. Keep us in your prayers.
