Individual Methodist Volunteer missionary, Rev. Sam Dixon, died while attempting to rescue a little girl in the rubble of the Montana Hotel in Haiti. The girl was brought to safety, but Rev. Dixon was caught in a collapse, freed, but died in the hospital a few hours later. Our prayers are for his family and friends. He died as he lived, helping others. The best tribute we can pay him is to continue to love and help others which is, of course, all that Christ asked us to do. It is hard sometimes, it is difficult, but it is always where we must keep our bodies and minds focused. It is not about us. Thank you for all who have been praying for me--don't stop--not out of the woods yet. Live lives that truly reflect the gospel. Amen.
