Juliana spent most of last night moving into her new house--one that she owns. She borrowed against her salary a couple of times and we gave her a little. With what amounted to less than $300 USD in loans and gifts from us, she managed, using her own money and labor from herself and neighbors, to get the foundation poured, the bricks made, the walls put up, the roof put on, and the doors and windows put in. It still has a dirt floor, but she couldn't be prouder. She no longer rents and can save money for school fees for Lightness now that she is going to secondary school. She will also put some away for Charlini as she grows. In another couple of years, Charlini will go to preschool. John and Karen are going over today to see the new place. I will post pictures as soon as I get them. We are all so very proud of what Juliana has accomplished.
