Well, it is now official. All of our belongings stolen from my son Keith's suitcase are total write-offs. Kenya Airways claims everything was okay when they gave it to Precision Air and Precision Air says everything was okay when they gave it to Customs and Customs claims it was half-empty when they got it. They each blame the other two. So, we lost a brand new laptop and several hundred dollars of other stuff as well. If you are bringing things to us, please put as much as you can into carry on and try not to put everything in just one suitcase. This has only happened to us once, but it was a big hit that we could ill afford. Still, the important thing was that Keith got here safely and had a good visit and a safe trip home. Things are just that, things. Relationships are the things with real value. Ask almost any disaster survivor, and if their families made it through okay, they will tell you that they lost nothing. The few others are those who know the price of everything and the value of nothing.
