Karen had the great idea of using a permanent marker to put Lusi's name on all her new clothes, kitchen stuff, and mattress, and then having John take pictures of all the stuff with Lusi so there will be a way of proving what stuff is Lusi's. Mama Africa is pretty smart. It took me a while to get around to giving Lusi the shoes that the visitors left for her, but turns out she got them after all her others were stolen. God thing I guess or just lucky lazy. Got the tie rods fixed for a total of thirty dollars. Sometimes, stuff here is more expensive than in the U.S., and sometimes things are cheaper. John spent the last couple of days working on a water project to drain off the overflow from our gray-water cistern. It will save a lot of work for our staff and keep the bad smell under control. John is also working on a little shaded patio in the banana trees. Glad he's here.
