On this special Sunday, we decided to have a quiet family service, but we decided it would be in the Serengeti. We went to the Ndabaka Gate of the Serengeti National Park (about 25 minutes from our house), and had our service there. We were surrounded by birds and animals--none of the ferocious kind--just the small, inquisitive sort. The morning was cool and beautiful and free of tourists. We studied the four gospel accounts of the resurrection and marveled at how all four were able to touch a different part of us. We laughed at the headlines in the news that said, "Experts argue over whether the resurrection took place!" Experts been arguing that from 33 AD up to today. Experts have never led a soul to Christ with their logical arguments. This is something that you get or you don't. This morning, it was impossible to deny. Easter is a glorious celebration of faith, and we were and are surrounded by it with nine churches in a half-mile radius of our house. The choirs are still singing now at 5:00 pm. The music of the spheres is the same in any language.
