Not much to report for Monday, no power, no internet, but other places are suffering even more. Construction continues and it was cold enough by African standards to put Karen in bed with pain for most of the day. Tomorrow is National Health Day, and we will have a booth with a filter, solar cooker, and tippy-tap to demonstrate. The District Commissioner is sending a truck to pick the stuff up. John went wandering around our neighborhood today in between rains and took a few pictures to give you a little idea of the area around us, however we have no internet and my phone won't upload pictures, so you will have to wait for those. We almost had power for twelve straight hours, but then whenever there is lightening, Tanesco shuts down till it's all over and then can't always start back up again.
John made some incredible cashew chicken for dinner tonight from a recipe he got on the internet--actually watched a video of this Cajun cook making it and figured out how to do it here. It was a real treat.
