Today was one of the biggest since we've been here. We dedicated the library, signed the contract, danced, sang, and began a new chapter in the history of Bunda. Karen said the celebration was more than we could have hoped for. The children were wonderful (sang six songs, three in English). The hope for educational change was high thanks to the library. God is so good. We had three of our staff helping out, people from the church were there, one man wrote two original songs about Maisha Na Maji and the library, and the tv coverage and newspaper accounts will be good--the publicity man is a friend. When I thanked the Chair of the District Council (he controls all the funds), he told me he was thanking me instead and proud to call me a friend. It was cloudy, but as soon as they started signing the contract the sun came out. Coincidence?
