Sad, sad day. Life is like that here--emotionally high one day and exceedingly sad the next. One of Karen's student's baby sister died yesterday of SIDS. Juliana's granddaughter, Charlini, is in the hospital with malaria, and two of Lusia's children have malaria as well. Karen went to the baby's funeral, and well, today was just one of our sad days. When the Norwegian doctors were here, I was always surprised to see them so cheerful in the midst of all the suffering. When I asked them how they did it, they replied, "We cry at night." Today was a day for crying.
